Phil Holloway, Director

Phillip Holloway is in his sixth year as Director of Choral Activities at Knoxville Catholic High School, where he has built a thriving program that now includes a Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, and the combined Chorale, the KCHS Singers. Under his leadership, these ensembles have shared their voices in some of the world’s most inspiring venues, including St. Patrick’s Cathedral and St. John the Divine in New York City, the Biltmore Estate, San Marco Basilica in Venice, Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, and St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City.

A native Tennessean, Mr. Holloway earned his Bachelor of Music from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He began his career directing choirs at Farragut Middle School before moving on to Lenoir City High School, where he rebuilt and revitalized the program, leading students to unforgettable performances in Prague and Vienna.

Following God’s calling, he served as Vocal Director and Worship Producer at Faith Promise Church for five years, shaping worship experiences through music. Yet, his passion for nurturing young voices drew him back into the classroom, where he continues to inspire the next generation of singers.

Mr. Holloway has enjoyed working with the singers of Summit Choral Collective this semester. With over 15 years of experience in high school choral music, Mr. Holloway remains dedicated to combining musical excellence with faith, helping students discover their voices both on stage and in their spiritual lives.
