Description


  • Identifies and suggests repertoire that fits criteria set out by Artistic Director

  • Has repertoire approved by Artistic Director in the planning process

  • Prepares a rehearsal plan for allotted rehearsal time each week

  • Creates a sub plan in the event of absence from rehearsal

  • Is present at every staff meeting 

Tenor Bass Conductor

We are seeking to hire a conductor to join our Artistic staff. With our rotating podium system, this conductor would be responsible for preparing a couple of pieces from the ground up for one concert each semester, but would also share the podium with the other artistic staff, as designated by our programming needs. 

We rehearse on Monday nights from 6:15-7:45 on a truncated schedule (approximately 10-11 rehearsals per semester) running from late August through November and February through April.

Requirements


  • Music degree (preferred, but will accept applications if a degree is in progress or there is other experience with leading a choir)

  • Willing to collaborate as part of an artistic staff 

  • Passion for musical excellence, building singers' skills and confidence, encouraging musical growth in singers

  • Willingness to help recruit singers and welcome them into our community
